Today I’m going to teach you a technique that has never failed me. Whether it be sports, relationships, attracting more money, or happiness. I call this my power visualization manifesting success technique.
Visualization plays a large role in the law of attraction. In order to get what you want you must first visualize it. This can be for the job you want, a new car, a dream house, or more wealth. Even if you don’t have those things you in your life yet you must act as if you have it already. To give you an idea of what I am talking about I will draw from my experiences.
Back in 2003 my girlfriend who later became my wife were searching for a new house. We wanted stay close to the city to be closer to work. This of course is when I was a corporate slave working for someone. We live in Vancouver which has one of the highest housing prices in the world. At the time we lived in a small 650 square foot condo. We always wanted to move into a house. Not only that I wanted a house that was not a fixer upper. I was not a handy person plus I like the fresh smell of a new home. Most places in Vancouver were old houses which needed a lot of work. They also cost closed to a million dollars. Not worth it in my opinion for a dump.
We decided to head over to a new developed area one night which had a community of new houses. I knew at that point I wanted to live there as soon as we drove into the area. The house we were looking at was a bungalow, asking price $750,000.00. My future wife and I just looked at each other, sighed, and said we can’t afford this let’s get out of here.
As we drove away the image of the two story houses in that area remained entrenched in my mind. I began to think about it imagining what it would be like to live there, host parties there, celebrate Christmas there. I visualized the details inside the home. We would have a simplistic Zen like decor and a modern interior. My garage would be my personal martial arts dojo. The backyard would be host to many bbq gatherings with friends and family.
Fast forward to 2008, the housing market had a small correction in Vancouver. In fact, it was the lowest point the housing market had dipped in over a decade. My wife and I decided to resume our house hunting again. As I scrolled through the real estate listings I noticed the two story house in the area we were looking at 5 years ago was up for sale. And the owners were asking for $650,000. The house had been on the market for a month with no offers.
We contacted the listing agent to make an appointment to see the house. During the viewing we couldn’t believe how beautiful the inside of the house looked. The details on the ceiling and everything was build with such care and detail.
We decided to make an offer of $621,000 expecting the owners to counter offer. To our surprise they never did and we got our dream home for our asking price. We were ecstatic!
Today that house is worth close to a million dollars. Four things allowed us to achieve this:
1. I knew I would not be able to afford a house if stayed as a salaried employee working for someone. I visualized one day I would own my own business which I started in 2005.
2. I visualized everyday that we would one day live in the house and in the area we desired.
3. Wrote down our plan and steps necessary to achieve this goal.
4. Put the plan into action.
I remember my wife and I standing in front of the house the day we bought it just staring at it. We turned to each other and said we really did it. Things do come true if you visualize it, take action, and feel it.
So what is holding you back? I want you to start doing the same for your life today. Here are some of the steps you should take:
1. Envision what you want
2. Learn all the little details on what you are asking for.
3. Imagine how it feels to have it.
4. Know what it looks like and what it smells like.
5. Write down all the steps you need to take to get there
6. Take actionable steps to achieve your dream
7. Remain focus and committed to your goal
Focus On Positive Images
I’m sure many of you have encountered a negative experience before. Some more than others. Negative images can come from graphic news images or violent movies. They can also come from unpleasant experiences in our personal lives. Regardless of how they came about you must learn to remove this images from your daily lives.
Having negative images make you feel bad. They offer no value and serve no purpose. These negative feelings are sent out to the universe bringing us more negativity which is not what we desire. Nobody wants a black cloud to follow them everywhere so start doing something today to change it.
A way in which we can remove these images is to think about something that makes us happy. Focus on that event for at least 15 seconds. You will begin to feel the negative feelings subside. For me I think of my training in martial arts, how happy it makes me when I’m in the gym, the laughter and spending time with my students.
For you it could be a person such as a friend or love one. Or maybe it’s a funny incident you never forgotten.
If you have a problem visualizing then I would suggest writing them down on a piece of paper and visualize it.
You can also create a vision board of all the things you dream of. It could be your dream home, new car, a special someone, happiness, more wealth or whatever you desire. I like to place mine where I can see it every day which is my office. In fact, I have two so everywhere I turn in my office I can see at least one of them. One is on the wall behind my office chair and the other is a mini vision board in front of my desk.
All these things will help you erase negative images from your head. It also helps you re-focus on your goal should your mind wander off course on your journey to your goal. In return, you will not only feel better but your life will improve dramatically as well.
Well that’s it for today. It’s the long weekend coming up. Enjoy and be safe. Please once again feel free to Like, Tweet, or comment below!
